John C. Turner, Ph.D., a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, is an alumnus of Indiana State University where he received his B.S. in Electronics Technology and M.S. in Student Affairs & Higher Education. Dr. Turner successfully completed a Ph.D. in Urban Education Studies from the Indiana University School of Education in the City of Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Turner’s academic research focus investigates the retention and success of the Minority Males & BIPOC K-Doctorate Students, Staff, and Faculty. Dr. Turner also works as an Education Advocate and Speaker who creates Community/School/Organization/Corporation networking and programming opportunities to discuss societal, systemic, & DEIB issues to help close the racial divides people face around the World.
Dr. Turner is host of "The Doc Chat" Show on LinkedIN and YouTube & Lead Author of "The Doctor Talker" Book, which highlights the doctoral journeys of Doctors from all kinds of Doctorate degree majors. Dr. Turner oversees The Professor JT LLC Educational Counseling ™️, which provides paid services for students, educators, families, community organizations, corporations, & educational institutions for them to get the assistance that they need to reach their goals.
Dr. Turner is an award winning educator and is recognized as the only 3x Dr. Ronald E. McNair Scholar. Dr. Turner articles have been featured on such platforms as The Good Men Project, Living Education eMagazine, JAAME, & Diverse Issues in Higher Education. Dr. Turner has been a Conference Speaker, Model, Community Panelist, & Keynote Speaker on issues such as Trending Worldwide Topics, Racial & Diversity Situations, Educational Discussions, & Men and Women Issues.
