Women To Watch 2024 honoree Charese Chambers



Charese Chambers is an award-winning Fractional CFO . Her company Financial Fancy LLC empowers aspiring and established entrepreneurs to create long term sustainability and accountability with their business finances. She has close to 2 decades experience in tax preparation, accounting, and consulting. Chambers is also a dynamic motivational speaker, workshop facilitator, engaging podcaster, and community leader.


Charese’s specialties include tax preparation, tax planning, bookkeeping, non-profit guidelines, budgeting, QuickBooks software, business entity set up, and financial reporting. Throughout her expansive career, she has consulted with various industries on knowing their numbers by revenue streams, marketing analytics and tax education to provide a wraparound service for small business owners to make profit on their bottom line, and that makes her Your Small Business CFO.

 

In 2021, 2022 and 2023 Chambers was awarded the Businessperson of the Year Award and Mentor/Coach of the Year in Lynchburg, Virginia. In addition, was awarded Young Professional of the Year(2020) and Millennial on the Move(2019) with a nomination for 40 under 40(2024) and Athena Leadership Award(2019).


She speaks regularly on panels, working groups, webinars, and conferences. She’s been featured in a variety of notable publications, including Lynchburg Business, Women Leaders of the World, and Collective Purpose.  


Charese is the producer of the podcast:  Business After Dark. These powerful shows provide information to small businesses owners from startups and beyond. She has a social media reach of over 20,000 connections and projects to reach even more with the relaunch of her YouTube Channel.

 

Charese is a sought-after community voice around topics of diversity, inclusion, equity, and service. She was the Chair for the MEI organization for Locus Impact Banking, an organization dedicated to creating equitable access to capital by developing community partnerships and innovative tools that tackle systemic challenges and advance promising opportunities. She served as a board member for the Young Professionals and is a member of the Rotary Club of Forest, Virginia.


Charese’ core values is to make connections that provide intentional actions to be a resource to her community and just last year(2023), she helped with a team to secure $8.7 million in funding for startups and established businesses.  Now pivoting she started The Brown Code Angel Network and is currently in a fundraising cycle for $1 million dollars to be distributed to Black and Brown businesses.
