Women To Watch 2024 honoree Dr. Loren E. Bartley



Loren stands apart in a world driven by ambition, greed, or fleeting desires. She is a unique

individual guided by deeply held values, the kind that strengthens communities and brings

people together. Loren values honest communication, human potential, and giving back, and enjoys the wisdom of cartoons that make you laugh and learn. Her advocacy is quiet yet

powerful, driven by a desire to provide equitable opportunities for communities and empower others to succeed.


Loren’s professional journey began right after high school in Jamaica, where her first role as a

substitute teacher ignited her passion for human resources, particularly in areas like equal

opportunities and fairness. After two years in education, she transitioned into the tourism

industry, starting as a telephone operator and rising quickly to the role of room reservations

associate. Her commitment to integrity and excellence earned her top accolades and led to

several managerial roles. Taking a bold step, Loren migrated to the United States with two

goals: to create a better life for her family and to advance her career.


Loren holds an Associate degree in Computer Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Monroe College, where she graduated with honors in Business

Management in 2005. She earned a Master’s in Human Resource Management from the

University of Phoenix and achieved her proudest academic accomplishment—a doctorate in

Human and Organizational Psychology from Touro University Worldwide, graduating Summa

Cum Laude.


Her extensive career spans various industries, including tourism, electrical/solar, and human

resources/workforce development. Loren has held roles such as Training Program Coordinator at the Institute for Excellence in the Yale New Haven Health System and currently serves as a Knowledge Management System Administrator at Westchester Medical Center. Her work now centers on helping individuals and teams maximize their performance, building resilience both in the workplace and in life. Drawing from her life experiences, she leads coaching and training programs focused on personal resilience.


Loren is deeply involved with her faith community. She is a dedicated member of the Oneness Rehoboth Apostolic Church (ORAC) and a graduate of the Oneness Apostolic Bible Institute (OABI). She has actively served in various ministries, earning multiple awards for her service. Currently, she is the registrar for OABI and president of the Oneness Professional Association (OPA), as well as engaging in several community service initiatives.


Her positive attitude, dedication, and innovative leadership are her hallmarks. Loren currently coaches in the Life Skills Catalyst program, finding great fulfillment in helping others grow both professionally and personally. Her passion for God, combined with her genuine care for people, allows her to build meaningful relationships that lead to lasting success.


In addition to her exceptional interpersonal skills and optimistic outlook, Loren is an organized and results-driven professional known for her strong customer service and proven ability to meet departmental needs. She has extensive experience in training program administration and office management. At Westchester Medical Center, Loren served as lead coach for the School at Work Program, helping frontline staff prepare for the GED exam and advance their careers. In recognition of her transformative work, she was awarded a Certificate of Recognition and Transformation Award in 2018.


Loren is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Westchester

Human Resources Management Association (WHRMA), the Manhattanville College Women

Leadership Cohort, and Monroe College Toastmasters. She holds certifications in coaching from Catalyst Learning, leadership training from Achieve Forum, and project management through the International Institute for Learning, Inc., among others.


Her key strengths include responsibility, a strong sense of commitment to delivering high-

quality results; developer, helping others reach their potential through mentoring and

guidance; includer, fostering inclusive environments where everyone feels valued; positivity,

maintaining an optimistic approach to challenges; and belief, aligning her actions with her core values. These strengths allow Loren to create environments of growth, trust, and success.


With a passion for giving back, Loren is committed to using her doctorate in Human and

Organizational Psychology to advocate for greater autonomy and dignity for underserved

populations. She continues to pursue this mission as a managing member of SPIKE LLC, Inc.,

Consulting Services.


Loren’s motto, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” is a testament to her

unwavering faith and perseverance.
