Dr. Terri Horton is a work futurist and founder of FuturePath, LLC. Her expertise sits at
the intersection of the future of work, artificial intelligence, and the impact on business
strategy. She is a consultant, corporate trainer, international speaker, and author who
delivers high-impact, future-focused strategies, and solutions for organizations to
successfully navigate the AI-driven future of work.
Dr. Horton has advised and consulted some of the world's most recognizable brands.
She has advised and delivered keynotes, corporate training, and professional
development workshops for clients ranging from corporate boards to C-Suite
executives, university presidents, investors, government administrators, and
international officials. Dr. Horton was selected to be a Harvard Business Review
Advisory Council member, an Advisory Council member for the Global AI Forum, and a
subject-matter expert for two global research consultancies.
As a widely recognized thought leader on the future of work and generative AI, Dr.
Horton has provided strategic insights for the Pew Research Center, Forbes, the
Obama Scholars Foundation, PWC, AnitaB.org, Aquent Global Workforce Solutions,
LinkedIn Learning, LinkedIn Talent Solutions, and two of the largest community college
districts in the United States.
Dr. Horton leveraged her expertise in generative AI to create six courses for LinkedIn
Learning that have reached more than 150,000 learners around the globe. Three of her
generative AI courses are translated into seven languages and included in the Microsoft
Global AI Skills Initiative. She is also an instructor at UCLA and Cornell University and
has served as an international visiting professor in Vietnam. Dr. Horton is a TEDx
speaker and the author of the book, “Force Majeure: A Futurist’s Guide to Boldly
Thriving on Your Terms in the Future of Work.”
Dr. Horton's academic qualifications include a doctorate in education from the University of Southern California, a Master of Arts in organizational management, and an MBA
with a concentration in marketing. She holds micro-credentials in AI business strategy
from MIT, data analytics, human resources, and generative AI from Cornell University,
as well as several human resources industry credentials.
